Leaders working through the Chips and Chaos breakout at LinkedIn

The Perspective Pivot · From the AI Tech Leaders' Club

Solve your hardest problem from a seat that isn't yours.

A 60-minute peer co-solving game built for senior technology leaders and played at every club. Each person argues from a seat card instead of their own job title. The friction between perspectives is the point.

How it works

Four moves, sixty minutes.

  1. Draw a seat

Everyone draws a seat card at random: the skeptical CFO, the paranoid CISO, the burned-out SRE, the wary end customer. If you draw your real job, you redraw.

  2. Work a real problem

Each table picks one problem and argues it from the seats they drew, under a constraint that forces tradeoffs. You cannot have everything, so you have to choose.

  3. Shuffle and stress-test

One owner stays with the table's work. Everyone else moves to a new table and tries to break what that group built.

  4. Harvest

Tables share what surprised them and the moderator names the patterns. Everyone leaves with one question for their own team, and one peer who will follow up in 30 days.

Why it works for senior leaders. Experienced leaders often suffer from expert blindness. Playing a seat lowers the defenses: nobody is being corrected by a peer, they are playing a role that lets them see their own blind spots.

The Skeptical CFO

"Evals cost money too. Show me which ones pay for themselves."

You fight to buy
As little as possible. Every chip has to catch something real.
How you play a failure
"Here's what this one cost us before anyone noticed."
You'd never say
"Let's buy one of everything to be safe."
